If you thought Joseph Gordon-Levitt has been busy over the past few years, you haven't seen anything yet. Not only does the man have a big fistful of high-profile films (including a certain Batflick) on the way, but now comes word from Deadline that the versatile filmmaker will be directing his debut feature. The as-yet-untitled romantic comedy will co-star the luminous Scarlett Johansson, Mr. JGL himself, and a second (as yet unnamed) female lead. Apparently the script, which (of course) Mr. Gordon-Levitt wrote, focuses on a womanizing jerk who tries to grow up a little.
Sounds like something that'll be a red-hot ticket at Sundance 2013, and why not? Scarlett's pretty, well, amazing, and it's been exciting to see JGL's transformation from "sitcom kid actor" to mega-versatile moviemaker. More on this project as it comes together -- and if you're a big fan of the young actor / writer / director / whatever, you should certainly be following him on twitter by now.
